AI Voice Agent for Accountants & Financial Advisers:
Every Client Call Answered

Our AI voice agent works as an AI receptionist for accountants, financial advisers and brokers. It answers every call on the first ring, books meetings, takes new enquiries and puts existing clients through to the right person, even in the January self-assessment rush. It never gives financial, tax or mortgage advice. We build it around your firm and manage it every month.

Live in as little as 3 working days · Keep your number · Billed monthly, 30 days' notice

What is an AI receptionist for accountants?

An AI receptionist for accountants is software that answers your firm's phone in natural, spoken conversation when your team is busy. It works out whether the caller is a new enquiry, an existing client or someone chasing a deadline, answers from fees and information you have approved, books meetings into the right diary and passes anything that needs an accountant or adviser to your team, with a summary of the call.

On Starter it does exactly that job. On Growth and Scale it works as a full AI voice agent: it puts callers through to their own accountant or adviser, calls back new enquiries and chases clients for the documents you're waiting on. Either way, OMH writes the script, connects your diary and runs it for you. See our AI receptionist plan, or how our AI voice agent works across UK businesses.

How a call goes

Watch the phone. Each step lights up as the call reaches it.

  1. It listens. It hears whether it's a new enquiry, a meeting request, a question about a deadline or a message for someone.
  2. It works out the answer. It checks the request against your services, fees, team and booking rules.
  3. It replies and acts.It answers in a natural voice, books the meeting or puts the call through.
  4. It reports back.Your team gets a summary of every call, with name, number and what the caller needs.

A year at your firm

Calls don't spread out evenly.
Neither does the tax year.

An illustrative week at a firm with six fee earners. Most missed calls land first thing, over lunch and after 5pm. Then January arrives, and the phone doesn't stop until the 31st. A missed new enquiry rarely leaves a voicemail. They ring the next firm on the list.

Calls by hour, one weekday

230 calls, 86 missed (37%). Hover or tap a bar for the hour.

Illustrative figures, not data from a real business. Your phone provider's call log shows your own pattern.

  1. 09:00Monday morning

Clients ring with questions saved up over the weekend. Your team is already in meetings.

  2. 12:30Everyone with a client

Reviews, year-end meetings and calls with HMRC. Nobody is free to pick up.

  3. Januaryself-assessment

The busiest month of the year, and the month your team has the least time for the phone.

  4. Work out what it costs your firm

Firms we cover

One agent, scripted for your firm

Every firm gets different calls. We write the script around yours: the services you offer, who looks after which clients, what you can say on a call and what must go to a qualified person.

Every client rings in the same three weeks of January.

AI Receptionist for Accountants

Our AI receptionist for accountants takes new enquiries by type of work, books meetings and passes existing clients to the accountant who looks after them.

  • Takes new enquiries: self-assessment, limited company accounts, VAT, payroll or bookkeeping
  • Books meetings and calls into the right accountant's diary
  • Chases clients for missing records and receipts, on Growth and Scale

Never gives tax advice

Advisers are in reviews, not at the phone.

AI Receptionist for Financial Advisers

An AI receptionist for financial advisers books first meetings and annual reviews, takes the details your team asks for before a first meeting, and puts existing clients through to their own adviser.

  • Books first meetings and annual reviews
  • Routes existing clients to their adviser, or takes a full message
  • Explains how your fees work, as you word them

Never discusses products, performance or advice

A buyer with an offer accepted won't wait until tomorrow.

AI Receptionist for Mortgage Brokers

Our AI receptionist for mortgage brokers takes new enquiries (purchase, remortgage or buy-to-let), asks about timescale and books a first call with an adviser while the buyer is still keen.

  • Sorts purchase, remortgage and buy-to-let enquiries
  • Books first calls with an adviser, including evenings if you offer them
  • Passes urgent cases, such as a completion date, straight to your team

Never quotes rates or says whether someone will be accepted

Renewals, new quotes and claims all ring the same number.

AI Receptionist for Insurance Brokers

An AI receptionist for insurance brokers sorts new quote requests from renewals and claims, takes the details each team needs and sends every call to the right person.

  • Takes new quote details: type of cover, renewal date, business or personal
  • Routes renewals and policy questions to the right handler
  • Logs new claims and passes them to your claims team at once

Never confirms cover or makes a claim decision

If your clients call you, the agent can answer them.

Regulated firms

Built with regulated firms in mind

We have run marketing for FCA-regulated firms, so we know the difference between what a regulated firm can say on a call and what must wait for a qualified adviser. Your agent is set up around that line from the first day.

  • No advice, ever.

The agent never gives financial, tax, mortgage or insurance advice and never recommends a product. Anything that needs advice goes to a qualified person.

  • Approved wording only.

It reads out only the information and wording you have signed off, word for word.

  • It says it is an AI.

Every call starts with the agent saying it is an AI assistant.

  • Recording to your rules.

If your firm needs calls recorded and kept, we agree the recording and retention setup with your compliance team before go-live.

  • Call-backs with consent.

It only calls people who have asked to hear from you or are existing clients. We follow UK PECR rules and screen against the Telephone Preference Service where required.

  • Your data, your control.

You remain the data controller and OMH acts as your processor under a written data processing agreement, in line with UK GDPR.

Your compliance officer signs off the script before go-live. This section describes how we set up the agent; it is not legal or compliance advice.

Showing all 14 questions

Will callers know they are talking to an AI?

Yes. Every agent says it is an AI assistant at the start of the call. Anyone who would rather speak to a person can ask, and the agent takes a message or puts them through, depending on your plan.

Does it give financial, tax or mortgage advice?

No. It never gives advice or recommends a product. It answers only from information you have approved and passes anything that needs advice to a qualified person.

Which firms do you set it up for?

Accountants and bookkeepers, financial advisers, mortgage brokers and insurance brokers, plus tax advisers, payroll bureaus and wealth managers. Solicitors have their own page.

Can it put clients through to their own accountant or adviser?

Yes, on Growth and Scale. You set the rules, and the agent passes the caller across with everything they said. If that person is busy, it takes a full message.

Can it cope with the January self-assessment rush?

Yes. It answers several calls at once, so no client hears an engaged tone, and it books follow-ups into the diaries you choose.

Can it chase clients for documents?

Yes, on Growth and Scale. It calls existing clients about the records you are waiting for, using wording you approve, and logs each call.

Does it work with our practice software?

It works with most diaries. What else connects depends on the software you use, and we confirm it on the discovery call.

Are calls recorded?

Only if you want them to be. If your firm needs calls recorded and kept, we agree the setup with your compliance team before go-live, and callers are told at the start of the call.

Is client data kept safe?

You remain the data controller and OMH acts as your processor under a written data processing agreement, in line with UK GDPR. We agree what is stored, where and for how long before go-live.

Can we keep our phone number, or get a local one?

Both. You can divert your existing line to the agent, or we can set up a new number with your local area code.

How long does setup take?

Starter goes live in 3 working days, Growth in 5 to 7 and Scale in 12 to 15. The clock starts once we have your services, fees, approved wording and diary access.

Will it replace our receptionist?

No. Most firms use it to catch the calls nobody can answer: in meetings, at lunch, after hours and in January. If you have a receptionist, it takes the overflow and passes calls on with the details already written down.

How much does an AI receptionist for accountants cost?

Our AI receptionist for accountants (the Starter plan) is £249 a month plus VAT with 300 minutes included, and a one-off setup fee from £795. Growth is £449 a month and Scale, for firms with several offices, is £849 a month. Extra minutes cost 60p each on every plan.

Is there a minimum contract?

No. Every plan is billed monthly with 30 days' notice.
