AI Voice Agents for Dental Clinics in London

An AI receptionist for London dental practices. It answers every call on the first ring, books check-ups and new patients, and sends urgent calls to your team, day and night. It never gives clinical advice.

Built and managed by OMH, a UK team based in Hullbridge, Essex. Set-up is by video call and phone.

London at a glance

A city where every call is worth answering

Access to NHS dentistry varies a lot across London, and patients looking for an appointment often ring more than one practice. The practice that answers first usually books them.

Across London

Every part of London rings differently

Calls practices here often get

  • Implant and orthodontic consultations
  • International patients in other time zones
  • Referrals from other dentists

Overseas patients often ring outside UK office hours. Your agent answers then, in your practice name.

Area notes are general observations to show how setup differs, not market data.

Several London practices?

One number, the right practice every time

Your agent asks for the postcode and the reason for the call, then sends it to the practice and team that cover it. You set the rules. Try a postcode to see where a call would go.

The first part of the postcode is enough.

Why London practices use it

What a voice agent does for a London practice

  • Every patient answered

Patients looking for a dentist often ring around. The practice that answers is the one that books them.

  • Early mornings, lunch and evenings

It answers when reception is busy at the desk, at lunch and after you close.

  • Appointments booked on the call

Check-ups, hygiene visits and new patients go straight into your diary, with a text to confirm.

  • Urgent calls handled safely

It never gives clinical advice. It offers your urgent slots or puts the caller through, following your rules.

  • Fewer empty chairs

Cancellations are rebooked on the call, and freed slots can be offered to your waiting list.

  • Treatment enquiries followed up

Implant, Invisalign and whitening enquiries reach your treatment coordinator with the details already taken.

What is changing

New rules mean more calls to answer

NHS practices have new targets and patients have new questions. Pick a topic to see what has changed and how your agent handles those calls.

NHS practicesFrom April 2026

NHS urgent care requirement

What has changed

  • Urgent care within 24 hours, and other unscheduled care within a week
  • At least 8.2% of contract value delivered as urgent care: 11 urgent courses per £10,000
  • Each urgent course of treatment is paid at £75
  • Patients referred by NHS 111 and walk-ins count towards the total

How your agent handles these calls

Books callers into the urgent slots you set aside, following your rules, and logs every urgent call for your team. Anyone who needs a clinician is put through. It never gives clinical advice.

General information only, not clinical or legal advice. The agent says only what you approve and passes anything else to your team.

Local numbers

Keep your number, or get an 020 one

Londoners trust an 020 number. Your agent can answer on the line patients already know, or on a new London number for a new practice or campaign. [CONFIRM] number provisioning

  • Keep your number

Divert your practice line so the agent answers. Your number stays on your website, Google listing and NHS profile.

  • Only the calls you miss

Calls ring your team first. If nobody picks up, or every line is busy, the agent takes over.

  • A new 020 number

For a new practice, a treatment line or a campaign. Track calls to that number separately.

London questions

What London practices ask us first

Anything else, ring us and talk to a person.

020 3489 3934

Do you have an office in London?

No. Our team is in Hullbridge, Essex, about an hour from central London. We set up and review your agent by video call and phone, so being in London makes no difference to the service.

Does it give clinical advice?

No. It never diagnoses or advises on treatment. It books patients in, offers your urgent slots following your rules and puts anyone who needs a clinician through to your team. If a caller describes a medical emergency, it tells them to call 999.

Can it tell callers if we are taking NHS patients?

Yes, using wording you keep up to date. It can add callers to your waiting list or offer a private appointment instead.

Can it help with the NHS urgent care requirement?

It books callers into the urgent slots you set aside and keeps a record of every urgent call for your team. Clinical triage stays with your dentists.

Can we get an 020 number?

Yes. You can keep your existing number and divert calls to the agent, or we can set up a new 020 number for a practice or campaign.

[CONFIRM] number provisioning

Does it work for groups with several London practices?

Yes. Each practice gets its own greeting, diary and rules, and calls can be routed by postcode, so a Clapham patient reaches the Clapham team.

Will callers know they are talking to an AI?

Yes. Every agent says it is an AI assistant at the start of the call, and anyone who would rather speak to a person can ask.

Is patient data kept safe?

Health information is special category data under UK GDPR. You remain the data controller and OMH acts as your processor under a written agreement. We agree what is stored and for how long before go-live.

[CONFIRM] storage region and retention options

What happens when NHS rules change?

The agent only says what you approve. When NHS charges, rules or your policies change, we update the script with you and test it before it goes live.
